A large property manager in Southeast Michigan approached Meadowbrook with a problem. Many of their workers that were injured on the job were unable to return quickly. Since many of these workers performed manual labor, it was not always possible for them to return to their previous positions at full capacity. This caused lost productivity and extra expense for the employer, and sometimes caused the worker to earn less income for an extended period of time.
Meadowbrook Insurance Agency was able to draw on the experience and resources of Meadowbrook Insurance Group's specialists in loss control. By bringing together our Agency client with our Loss Control experts and the work comp carrier, we helped the client identify the problems in the workplace causing the injuries to reduce or eliminate them.
Meadowbrook Insurance Agency worked with the on-site managers to create a "Return to Work" program for the client. This program was designed to train injured employees from one area to work in another position within the company and their medical restrictions until they are able to return to their original job. This program will help both the employee and employer by lowering the cost of workers' compensation premiums, increasing productivity and showing the employees that the employer is committed to successful rehabilitation and return to work.
