Summary  

Establishes network configurations standards as they relate to Meadowbrook’s corporate direction.

Essential Functions  

 

 

 

1.      Responsible for establishing local and wide area network configurations as they apply to cable management, phone switch management, administration, and day-to-day operations.

2.      Specify LAN/WAN equipment such as servers, routers, switches and other equipment as needed to support Meadowbrook’s infrastructure.

3.      Establish cabling scheme for enterprise connectivity.

4.      Participate in annual budgetary reviews and analysis.

5.      Configure all new offices and acquisitions to assure that connectivity is possible and manageable.

6.      Function as 1st level support for network issues.

7.      Work with vendors and manufacturers to maintain up-to-date support and systems versions.

8.      Maintain up-to-date Total QualityManagement documentation on all procedural operations.

9.      Performs other related duties assigned.

Requirements  

1.      Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent strongly desired.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2.      At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Server 2003, Microsoft Exchange 2003, Cisco Router and Switch & Telephone experience

3.      Experience with Client/Server applications.

4.      Five (5) years experience in a technical support role.

5.      Five (5) years experience with network configurations and trobleshooting, including networked printers.

6.      Excellent project management skills

7.      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

8.   Should have effective communication skills and be able to interact at all levels of corporate or client management as well as with vendors.

9.   Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more/

10. Ability to adjust work schedule and work additional hours, as necessary.
