MEADOWBROOK INSURANCE GROUP, Inc. (NYSE:MIG) is a publicly traded company that employs approximately 1100 associates in 34 offices throughout the United States and Bermuda.  Meadowbrook operates insurance agencies, a risk management company that provides services to self-insured groups, funds and pools, and operates 4 domestic and 1 foreign insurance companies.  We are currently looking for a full time Customer Service Assistant to join our Cerritos, CA branch office, which specializes in transportation insurance and commercial auto insurance coverages.





Provide support and assistance to Account Managers.


Essential Functions  

1.      Assist with the processing of owner operator and fleet renewal activity.

2.      Maintain all new business and renewal business files.

3.      Process diary follow-up items on a daily basis.

4.      Prepare client certificates for mailing.

5.      Maintain fleet client files.

6.      Input client information into database.

7.      Respond to telephone calls as backup to the agents.

8.      Perform basic office clerical duties such as faxing and copying.

9.      Assist in the preparation of correspondence materials such as memos, letters, etc.

10.  Performs other related duties as assigned.



1.      Bi-Lingual a plus

2.      High School diploma or equivalent required.

3.      Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

4.      1 or 2 years prior office/front desk experience

5.      Must be detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.

6.      Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

7.      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

8.      Excellent organization skills and strong customer service skills.

9.      Prior Insurance experience is a plus.
