We are currently looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join our Westerville, OH branch.

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Business Analyst is to provide advanced guidance, consultation, advice and feedback to managers and teams responsible for implementing and supporting applications systems; participate in program and systems analysis and design, development of specifications to allow others to write effective changes and enhancements and problem-solving at any level of complexity. Also responsible for assessing the need for improving business processes, evaluating options, and supporting business case completion.

Essential Functions  
  1. Contribute a high level of technical and business expertise and decision-making skill to analyze new implementations, existing systems and business practices or unusual complex system malfunctions. Consult with management, other departments and clients to support and improve their analysis, develop specifications and performance of project tasks. Intervene when directed in specific projects or teams.
  2. Monitor insurance industry technology and business process developments.
  3. Communicate effectively on the impact of projects, programming, changes to current systems, specifications and project schedules. Participate in related committee meetings or other planning.
  4. Conduct training and assist management in developing business and technical training to meet department needs.
  5. The above duties will be performed under limited supervision.
Requirements  
  1. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or Information Services preferred or equivalent; at least five (5) years related business experience in insurance as a business analyst , rater, underwriter, statistical reporter, compliance analyst, claims adjuster, accounting rep, program implementor, insurance systems programmer, or commercial lines agent, preferably with a combination of experience in such roles.
  2. Demonstrated advanced insurance or software development knowledge, designing and implementing various programs and systems as normally acquired through on-the-job training/experience.
  3. Thorough knowledge and ability to implement and adhere to project management methodologies, including ability to support project management efforts of others.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to medium to large groups. Ability to engage with and communicate business and technical material to senior level management.
  5. Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational and problem-resolving skills.
